The Scarecrows' Wedding is one of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's classic children's books, which is heading back to the London stage at Leicester Square Theatre in partnership with Scamp Theatre. Who doesn't want to see the rhyming love story of two sweet scarecrows on stage?

Kids will enjoy seeing scarecrows Betty O'Barley and Harry O'Hay come to life and start to plan their big day.

"Betty O'Barley and Harry O'Hay were scarecrows. (They scared lots of crows every day.) Harry loved Betty, and Betty loved Harry, So Harry said, 'Betty, my beauty, let's marry! Let's have a wedding, the best wedding yet, A wedding that no one will ever forget.'"

It's when the couple sets off on a hunt of everything they'll need for the wedding that some drama ensues... in the form of rakish scarecrow Reginald Rake.

Scamp Theatre's production - the same team behind the celebrated Stick Man - is directed by Eva Sampson and has all of the ingredients you need in a hit children's theatre show: singing, dancing, silliness, laughter and Julia Donaldson's fabulous rhymes.

That's our summer hols show, sorted then.
