With October just around the corner, get your lederhosen ready... For the first time ever, Electric Brixton is being transformed into an all-singing, all-dancing Bavarian beer hall for South London's first ever Oktoberfest (28 September and 19 October). Picture endless pints, bunting and Herman ze German's authentic sausages, combined with live music and DJs performing late into the night.

Raise your glass listening to leading modern brass band London Brass All Stars play classic Ompha-Ompha tunes. Then stick around to sample more brews and dance along to a DJ set from Sexy Kitchen Party, the duo who took Glastonbury and Secret Garden Party by storm in 2015.

Between catchy sets by London Brass All Stars, release some pent-up laughter watching up-and-coming comedians – and don't forget to try Herman ze German's wurst in all its many forms, including Currywurst and Brotzel. German beers are supplied by Spaten, Löwenbräu and Becks, and come served in a classic stein to get you in the mood. Dance alongside waiters dressed in traditional Dirndl and Lederhosen, who you can trust to keep your glass filled to the brim.
