Blade Runner 2049 film

Following a thirty five year hiatus, Blade Runner 2049 will be reviving the plot of Blade Runner (1982) this autumn. Harrison Ford will be returning as Rick Deckard, now-retired Blade Runner, with LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling) hot on his heels, trying to enlist Deckard's help after discovering a secret that might bring an end to humanity.

Dark, gloomy and unsettling, the teaser trailer doesn't give much information, but succeeds in setting a tense, uneasy atmosphere for the film, with a lack of anything except atmospheric scene-setting and one interaction between Deckard and Officer K.

Blade Runner, now regarded by many critics as one of the all-time best science fiction films, has set a high bar for Blade Runner 2049. Hopefully it will be worth the thirty-five-year wait.
