It has proven a success in Manchester and now the Ivy group has opened a branch of The Ivy Asia in London. Located at St Paul's, the restaurant and bar is open seven days a week for lunch, dinner and even weekend brunch. Baton Berïsha, managing director for The Ivy Collection, says they're 'bringing a totally new dining experience and destination to the heart of the city'.

The Ivy's new menu looks totally mouthwatering, from the delicious, Asian-inspired cuisine to the theatrical drinks and cocktails served late into the night. Food highlights include yellowtail sashimi with truffle, chilli and tosazu dressing, and an express lunch menu with bento boxes to take away. And to drink? Bar manager William Beatty's new cocktail list includes Malaysian Margaritas – with tequila, aloe vera juice and coconut cream.

The wow-factor extends to the decor, too, which includes fluorescent pink floors and panelled artwork of notable Japanese landscapes. And that's just the entrance... The first-floor restaurant styles The Ivy's classic green and gold combination, with a few added extras: Asian fabrics, antique 12ft samurai warriors and large windows overlooking St Paul's Cathedral.

To top things off? The restaurant and bar is planning entertainment and music nights with live DJs. Guests can stay until 2am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

The Ivy Asia opens on 18 November. Call 020 3971 2600 to reserve a table.
