Celebrating the very best of British produce, Foxlow Soho will introduce to Soho the group's much-loved formula of classic cocktails and food in home cooking styles.
Compared to other restaurants in Soho, Foxlow will be loved and adored for its simplicity, rather than experimental flare.
The restaurant group also gets top marks for how its decor emulates the neighbourhood. For instance, Foxlow Clerkenwell is fitted with rustic wood and blackboards inspired by Smithfield Market's heritage. Now owners Huw Gott and Will Beckett will take inspiration from London's historic capital of nightlife for their new restaurant.
The group's landmark Soho restaurant will also be their most theatrical, with a U-shaped bar dominating the ground floor, 120-cover restaurant. It's available for counter dining, but bear in mind that Foxlow cocktails are some of London's most striking. And an illuminated canopy above the bar is inspired by nearby Golden Square's iconic allegiance with the cinema industry.
The food menu is plainly very well tested, but that isn't to say there isn't room for new additions, and Foxlow's own development chef, Lewis Hannaford, is premiering vegan options for the launch – spice-roasted cauliflower with chickpeas and spinach, and warm lentils with sweet potato and tahini.
Stick to the classics though and you'll not go wrong, with slow-smoked pork ribs or five-spice Brixham Squid among highlights. A brunch menu will also run daily alongside lunch and dinner, there's free corkage (!) on Tuesdays and a weekend roast is either beef with all the trimmings, or chicken pot roast (pictured) with cider braised turnips, parsnips and heritage carrots.
