Eat...

... at Decimo, the new restaurant at the top of The Standard.

King's Cross's modish new hotel The Standard - which hosted the most star-spangled of parties over fashion week - will open its rooftop restaurant this month. Resident chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias has already made a name for himself in Bristol, where both his restaurants – Casamia and Paco Tapas – have Michelin stars. There'll be meat and seafood cooked over open flame, plenty of sharing plates, and heavydoses of contemporary ambiance.

Also look out for Lina Stores (opening its third outpost in Kings Cross this month) for loaded, steaming plates of fresh pasta. For the soul.

Step...

... Into Legres boots.

Legres is the London-based boot label on everyone's lips - but not at their fingertips. This is thanks to their ice-cool avoidance of an e-commerce website or an Instagram page, and three co-founders who want to remain anonymous. Butter-soft, contemporary, and with an ethos that refreshes, these are the boots to wear this season.

... To Ghosteen, the new album from Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.

A new, anticipated album from rock ‘n’ roll's prince of darkness will light up the music scene this month. Nick Cave's music has taken many forms over the years - deranged post-punk, delicate balladry, raucous garage rock - but he forever harnesses the power to move his listener, often to tears. We expect no less from Ghosteen, out some time this week.

Try...

... switching to a milk delivery service.

In the age of Greta Thunberg, and with the horrors of our plastic crisis weighing heavy on our minds, there are plenty of steps we can take to do our bit, no matter how small. Whilst oat milk, rice milk, coconut milk and beyond might be all the rage, plenty of us still look to the good old fashioned stuff for our tea. Why not ditch the plastic and switch to creamy, untreated milk in glass bottles, delivered to your door every morning? Nostalgic, delicious, and plastic-free.
