Winners announced: Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2018
The universally adored Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition is back and better than ever.
This year the international competition received over 45,000 entries from 95 countries. The winning photographs reflect this international reach, transporting you from the rainforests of China to the ice caps of the Antarctic.

Winner 2018: Behaviour: Amphibians and Reptiles
Spotted downsteam in Tennessee's Tellico River, a hungry hellbender, North America's largest aquatic salamander, closes in on its prey, a northern water snake. David Herasimtschuk recalled the 'diabolic charisma' of the hellbender's attack. Though rarely-sighted, the salamander breathes through its skin, so its presence indicates a healthy freshwater system.
