Verdi's La Traviata, Opera Holland Park

The new Opera Holland Park season opens with one of the most affecting operas in the whole repertoire. In Verdi's tragic opera, a woman with a past gives up true love for the sake of another woman's future. Starring Lauren Fagan (pictured) as Violetta.

Mozart's Così Fan Tutte, Opera Holland Park

An evergreen comedy features the cream of the young British opera scene, including Eleanor Dennis (pictured). A mischievous old man and clever servant trick two young couples into swapping partners – with sublime musical results.

Mascagni's Isabeau, Opera Holland Park

Opera Holland Park makes a speciality of bringing to light unjustly neglected works from the rich seam of 19th-century Italian opera. Here is another, with Anne Sophie Duprels (pictured) in the title role, refusing to marry to please her father.
