Liz Pichon's award-winning Tom Gates book series, with its trademark kooky doodles and hilarious characters, has legions of book-loving fans: boys, girls, Rooster the dog...

The larger-than-life Tom (along with Marcus, Amy and Derek) are heading to Richmond this March, in a live stage adaptation from the Birmingham Stage Company (the award-winning team behind Horrible Histories and Gangsta Granny).

The premise? Tom's in trouble - again - with three sad faces on the school chart. One more sad face and he'll have to miss out on the class trip. Everyone's being difficult: moany Marcus Meldrew, his grumpy sister Delia, Amy Porter... One thing's for sure: wherever Tom goes, hilarity is sure to follow with plenty to excite and discover in this latest singing, dancing adventure.

For avid fans, the 7pm performance on 20 March is the one to book: author Liz Pichon will be on hand signing books after the show. Maybe you'll even get a signature doodle!
