For every child - and every parent who doesn't want to grow up - we've got the perfect summer show: the National Theatre and Bristol Old Vic's Peter Pan by JM Barrie is coming to the Troubadour White City this July.

Directed by Olivier award-winning Sally Cookson (A Monster Calls, Jane Eyre), the production has every ingredient you and your kids are looking for: live music, humour, puppetry and more than a touch of magic - including aerial acrobatics.

The adaptation follows the adventures of Peter Pan as he loses his shadow on a visit to London. Wendy helps him to reattach it and gets to see Neverland for herself, as well as crossing paths with the Lost Boys, Tinkerbell, Tiger Lily, Captain Hook and more.

Peter Pan is designed by Michael Vale with costume design by Katie Sykes, dramaturgy by Mike Akers, lighting design by Aideen Malone, and sound design by Dominic Bilkey. The show features original music by Benji Bower, with movement direction by Dan Canham, puppetry co-design and direction by Toby Olié and aerial direction by Gwen Hales.

The show stars John Pfumojena as Peter Pan (he was previously Michael Darling in the 2016 production at the National Theatre), Daisy Maywood as Wendy Darling and Kelly Price as Captain Hook/Mrs. Darling.

FYI, no matter what ages your children are, you're likely to be spending quite a bit of time at the Troubadour White City this summer, the brand-new, large-scale theatre at White City Place. The Very Hungry Caterpillar is playing there for the month of August.
