Fortnum's X Frank exhibition, 2018, Fortnum & Mason

Fortnum's X Frank makes a triumphant return this autumn with a showcase of 70 large-scale monochromatic works by British landscape artist John Virtue

Fortnum's X Frank 2018
This autumn Piccadilly favourite Fortnum & Mason continues its annual artistic collaboration with eminent art collector, Frank Cohen, by presenting a rich body of work by British landscape artist John Virtue. The in-store exhibition follows last year’s presentation of work by John Bellany and the inaugural group show in 2016.

Curated by Robert Upstone, former Director at the Fine Art Society, the latest Fortnum’s X Frank exhibition features 70 large-scale monochromatic works by Virtue, spanning all floors of the luxury London store. Specialising in monochromatic landscapes, Virtue is regarded as one of the most distinguished painters working today in the United Kingdom: he was awarded the post of Associate Artist at the National Gallery in 2003-2005, and works as an honorary Professor of Fine Art at the University of Plymouth.
