Art on a Postcard, 2019

Jeremy Deller and Helen Beard are among the artists announced for this year's Art on a Postcard Secret Auction

Lot 232, World, Archival Pigment Print and Lot 225, Cutting Some Rug - Acrylic on Paper
The Art on a Postcard Secret Auction gives art lovers the chance to pick up a miniature masterpiece for an affordable price. The event is hotly anticipated by those in the know, presenting approximately 600 works by 250 professional artists from around the globe. The works remain anonymous until bidding closes and part of the fun is guessing who the artists are. Included in this year's line-up are provocative painter Helen Beard, Turner Prize winner Jeremy Deller, and Norman Ackroyd RA, an artist whose glorious etchings evoke windswept landscapes. You can view a full list of participating artists here and browse the available lots here.

This year's catalogue is as playful, irreverent and varied as ever – and it's for a good cause, too: all proceeds go to the Hepatitis C Trust. How does it work? Each lot has a reserve price of £50. Online bidding begins at midday on 31 October on Paddle8 and closes from 5pm on 14 November in staggered lots and there will be an exhibition of the available artworks at WeWork, Devonshire Square from 12–14 November. Competition is bound to be fierce, so be sure to get in early!
