Red Palace, The Vaults

Revel in a Venetian masked ball at this theatrical immersive dining experience at the Vaults beneath Waterloo station

Red Palace at The Vaults
Lose yourself in a masquerade ball as immersive story-tellers Shotgun Carousel returns to The Vaults with a new theatrical feast.

Following the success of 2018's Dionysian dining adventure Divine Proportions, this new experience merges promenade performance, cabaret, circus and dance to evoke the gothic glamour of a Venetian masked ball. Revellers then have the option to upgrade their evening with an exclusive (and limited availability) menu from Masterchef semi-finalist Annie Mackenzie.

The labyrinthine space below Waterloo station is transformed into a fairytale, fit for an evening of fantasy and exploration. Follow the Prince and his magical guests through the halls of grand masked ball. You will see splendour, scandal and strange occurrences; nothing is quite what it seems beneath the ornate masks. You may recognise Snow White or Red Riding Hood, but they are not the characters you know. Trust your senses and follow the breadcrumbs to unlock the mystery of the Red Palace.

Inspired by the traditional Venetian carnivals and the fictional worlds created by the Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Anderson, the experience weaves together different narratives to explore the complexity of identity. Intricate sets and a cast of actors, dancers and acrobats will draw you in and make you a part of the action.

Director of Red Palace, Celine Lowenthal, promises 'a really special, refined piece of theatre, and a joyfully escapist night out'.

Over 18s only.
