HEROES: Brian Cox in conversation with Oliver Jeffers, School of Life
The School of Life is hosting a series of exclusive talks for their HEROES series, which sees two experts from different fields in conversation. The premise is simple: The institution invites a pre-eminent cultural figure to nominate one of their personal heroes they admire (from a different field) that they would like to interview on stage. The School of Life then brings the duo together. The conversation aims to explore how people influence and learn from one another.

On 24 November, artist and children's writer Oliver Jeffers will talk with invited physicist and popular television presenter Brian Cox. The pair will discuss what it means to see the big picture in both physics and fiction.

Praised for bringing wonder and enchantment to his work for children, Jeffers deals in real-life magic. Cox is similarly famous for explaining the complicated marvels of the universe in simple terms. Their talk will focus on how we live on Earth, the messages that we offer to our children, and how we can help future generations understand that everything we do in our shared world will impact others. This is sure to be an enlightening and heart-warming event.
