From London and New York to Beirut and Tokyo, START is a truly global affair. Among the fair's roster of newcomer galleries is London-based The Gallery of Everything. For their first ever art fair, the young gallery will present two emerging artists of African origin, Abu Bakarr Mansaray and Johnson Weree, whose work is inspired by the traumas of their violent and unpredictable pasts.

Elsewhere, Danish Oxholm Gallery presents oil portraits by Copenhagen-based painter Niels Corfitzen, while Chinese artist Ming Lu brings a solo exhibition of work to START. The London-based multidisciplinary artist takes inspiration from everyday materials, blending them humorously with symbols and language from Chinese history. Lu describes her work as confrontational metaphors of the human body, stating that: 'As I transform the objects into metaphors of human bodies, I sometimes give the body parts a utilitarian function'.
Emerging multi-disciplinary artist Lauren Baker will also present an exciting solo show at START. With mosaics, neon lights and catchy messages on display, her exhibition is sure to attract new and loyal collectors alike.
From contemporary painting and sculpture to prints and lithographs, discover 'tomorrow's art today' at the fifth edition of START.
