This year, there are numerous galleries from London and New York to get to grips with, as well as a selection of respected galleries from cities less internationally recognised for their artistic output. Amongst these new exhibitors are Danish Oxholm Gallery, showing French painter Eric Lacombe, and Miami-based Art Lexing, who will present a solo show of works by rising Chinese artist Ye Hongxing, whose kaleidoscopic, fantastical landscapes juxtapose elements from East and West.
Accompanying the fair’s programme this year will be a live immersive performance by renowned contemporary Chinese artist Liu Bolin. The artist will be painted in situ against a sculptural installation commissioned
specifically for the fair. As the artist’s body gradually blends into the background, eventually becoming entirely invisible, patrons will gain an exclusive insight into the Bolin’s working process.
From contemporary painting and sculpture to prints and lithographs, 2017 START art fair is an amateur collector's haven.
