The Affordable Art Fair
Art fairs can seem overwhelming, so if you are looking to buy, it pays to do your research before you go. You'll be able to find a huge range of artworks here, but if sculpture is your thing, then there are some strong offerings this year. We love Vic Wright's sculptures, inspired by naturally forming minerals and Emma Bell's serene framed ceramics. And the buying doesn't have to stop when the art fair closes its doors. Works will continue to be on sale on The Affordable Fair website.
London Original Print Fair
The London Original Print Fair – hosted by the Royal Academy – is the perfect place for both the timid buyer and the seasoned collector to pick up beautiful works, with prices starting at £100 and exceeding £100,000. Here you will find some of the art world’s biggest names, such as David Hockney, Paula Rego and Cornelia Parker. And if your aim is to make a savvy investment you will be spoilt for choice. A strong contender is Oli Epp, a rising star, who won the Jealous Print Price last year, and Tom Hammick’s glorious, dreamlike woodcut prints remain highly desirable. When buying prints, the key is to purchase early, as most are part of a limited edition. The fewer left, the higher the price of the remaining works.

Ceramic Art London
In recent years, the world of ceramics has started to shed its chintzy, homespun image, with a strong collectors’ market and exhibitions across London’s most fashionable white cube galleries. This long overdue recognition is reflected in Ceramic Art London's spring fair at Central Saint Martins, now in its 15th year. And this year there is a strong emphasis on the sculptural among the international cohort of exhibitors. Prices range from £27 to £6,500 and visitors will get the opportunity to talk with the artists. We particularly love Nuala O’Donovan’s delicate porcelain works, which resemble ossified organic forms of astonishing complexity.

The Other Art Fair
Presented by Saatchi Art and housed at the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane, The Other Art Fair offers a fun and informal atmosphere in which to buy affordable artwork. Fairs such as this one provide the perfect opportunity to discover new talent and perhaps even strike up a life-long passion for the work of an emerging artist. But whether you are looking for your next obsession or simply a single canvas to fill an empty wall, the colourful, abstracts of Venice-based artist Stacy Gibboni might be just the thing. Her bold, buttery use of paint evokes floral motifs dominated by blues. Perhaps this is a nod to the watery city she calls home. Her prices range from around £500 to £10,000.
