Sci-fi, fantasy, and supernatural worlds collide as audiences are invited to enter The Twilight Zone, in a stage adaptation of the cult CBS television show. After the sellout success of 2017's world premiere at Islington's Almeida Theatre, The Twilight Zone transfers to the West End for a limited run in March 2019.

Producer Ron Fogelman says, 'The impact the production had on the audience at the Almeida Theatre was wonderful, showing just how timeless these stories continue to be. Anne Washburn and Richard Jones have created a unique experience for the theatre that taps straight into the imagination.'

Rod Sterling's 1959-64 anthology series is a sort of 60s version of Black Mirror, with a series of stand alone black and white episodes, each punctuated by a narrative twist and a strand of macabre morality. But, instead of mere satire, the stories span space, time, and knowledge to take us into another dimension.

The Twilight Zone is not easy to imagine on stage, but then nor was The Simpsons and writer Anne Washburn succeeded in transforming the cartoonish comedy of Springfield into startlingly experimental theatre in Mr Burns (Almeida 2014). Now she collaborates with Olivier-winning theatre and opera director Richard Jones for a show where 'stage magic and fantasy unite as the ordinary becomes extraordinary.'

Get ready for an oddity of a show, which combines classic spooky stories with cutting edge staging and tech to transport you into another realm.
