Shakespeare transformed: the Unicorn's adaptation of Othello is a modern story about complicated relationships

Othello and Desdemona are madly and passionately in love. Unfortunately, not everyone is happy about it. Slowly but surely, friends and family try to interfere with their marriage. The couple come face-to-face with intolerance and distrust from all sides – even from each other.

Othello will (presumably) have you weeping tears of both laughter and sorrow. Besides, what better way to introduce kids to the epic storytelling of Shakespeare?

Although one of the Bard's greatest tragedies might not seem like the most obvious choice for a family comedy, the Unicorn Theatre's production of Beowulf blew us away earlier this year. Bring on the literary adaptations!
