Returning once again to turn tradition on it's head, and then inside out, the award-winning comedy trio Sleeping Trees is back in Theatre 503 with a Christmas pantomime that's bonkers enough to rival last year's eccentric Cinderella and the Beanstalk.
This year's classic Christmas story mash-up combines Charles Dicken's protagonist, Ebenezer Scrooge and the tale of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.
One cold Christmas Eve night, Mr Scrooge is visited not by the Ghost of Christmas Past, but by Mrs Claus, Santa Claus's mother, who transports the miserable, wizened old man into the land of fairy tales and magic in the hope that he'll discover the Christmas spirit inside him and save the magical kingdom. With only a few dwarves to help him, Mr Scrooge must work out how to get back into present Victorian London or fear being trapped in the nightmare forever.
Absolutely hilarious, laugh-out-loud silly, very funny with lots of exciting improvisation and bare-knuckled comedy, singing, dancing, this is a charming and intimate Christmas pantomime this winter that we fell in love with.
