The Snowman has seen numerous adaptations, most notably the 1982 classic animated television special, but since 1997 the Birmingham Repertory Theatre's own adaptation has become the seasonal treat at the Peacock Theatre.
Like the film, the show is entirely without dialogue and follows a boy and his snowman on a Christmas adventure, where they encounter everything from dancing reindeer to Father Christmas himself. Howard Blake’s score, including Walking in the Air, will be performed by a live orchestra.

The Snowman is directed by Bill Alexander. Design is by Ruari Murchison, lighting by Tim Mitchell, and choreography by Robert North.
Described by The Times as 'sheer theatrical magic, The Snowman has been a family favourite for many years, and remains fresh and totally engaging.
The little ones in particular are likely to enjoy following the little boy and his enchanted snowman on their journey through a whimsical winter wonderland.
