Now in its 43rd year, the show has all the attractions of a traditional country fair plus much more.
Horticultural displays, home-grown vegetable and flower competitions, and the show's very own on-site farm are only half of what’s on offer. After grabbing a bite at one of the numerous food stands, or perhaps even mucking about at the arts and crafts stall, we recommend heading over to the Main Stage for a truly global music experience.
The stand-out event of the weekend promises to be the Flower Zone, presented in collaboration with the Royal Horticultural Society. Get a taste of the dazzling display of seasonal blooms at their Flower Show, or exercise your green fingers by entering the competition yourself. There will be a scarecrow competition (this year's theme is children's book characters), and a recycled garden competition.
Expect a mix of a mix of afrobeat, ska, and soul to get you grooving. From
Grammy-nominated jazz heavyweights the Hot 8 Brass Band to General Roots,
fresh to the London reggae scene, an eclectic lineup will provide the a summer
soundtrack to your weekend.
If the rhythm has you hooked, hit the decks with a professionally run DJ
workshop, or learn the basics of bongos with Brixton’s own Shamha community
The Lambeth Country Show has something for everyone this summer.
