Fashion illustrators to follow on Instagram 2020

Fashion illustration captured the imagination, when, in January 2020, Vogue Italia eschewed fashion photography entirely for the first issue of the new decade. Nobody could have expected how much would change so quickly, but if you're looking for a way to beautify and cheer up your living space, the work of a talented illustrator is a great place to start.

Jacky Duck

Jacky Blue

Based in New York, Brit Jacky Blue was mentored by the late Louise Wilson, who she met when working for Donna Karan in the 90s. She credits Wilson with encouraging her to pursue illustration, for which she gave up designing in 2017.

Frida Wannerburger

A Swede based in London, Frida Wannerburger is a graduate of Central Saint Martins who has multiple commissions for fashion houses and magazines as well as the inimitable website SHOWstudio. Her work is a compelling blend of delicate creatures swathed in bold and punchy fashions.

Erin Donohoe

Erin Donohoe is artist in residence at Woking College of Art and Design, and characterises her work as 'responding to the world through illustration' including socio-political issues such as the climate crisis.


Still developing her own style, Donohoe often works with oil pastel and uses modern and archive magazine images for inspiration.
