Preacher season two, Amazon Prime

Praise be to God! Jesse Custer, Dominic Cooper's crazed, violent preacher, returns for a further 13 episodes on Amazon Prime this May. This is the second series in a long-awaited adaptation of Garth Ennis and the late Steve Dillon's graphic novel Preacher.

When we last left him, at the end of season one, Custer was the vessel for angel-demon spawn, Genesis. This monstrous creature was now in possession of the Word of God (mind control) and preparing to team up with Irish vampire Cassidy (Josh Gilgun) and lady hitman (or should that be hitperson?) Tulip (Ruth Negga).



In the last season of this bonkers, genre-bending series, the band of misfits escaped the town of Ratwater, Texas and embarked on a road trip to find God. They were being pursued by an assassin from hell and some angry members of 'the government' – you know how it goes.

The trailer promises a new season just as mad and cool as the previous season. Expect gun-popping mythical creatures, fast-talking Americans and adventures to impress the divine.
