Our #mondaymuse this week: i.am.caspar
Introducing i.am.caspar: Every week we collaborate with one of our favourite Instagrammers, to allow us a glance into their Culture Whisper Planner.
1) 'Walhalla': Anselm Kiefer, White Cube Bermondsey ★★★★★
Caspar says:
"Kiefer is this cross between a human being and a wizard. He has the power to take you on a journey to a world made of heroes, myths, alchemy, sunflowers, nature.
Forget the White Cube space: the White Cube is white no longer, with the artist installing instead a pitch black corridor which gives way to a multitude of rooms, each with its own narrative. Kiefer speaks of politics and landscape and nationalism and death and life and hope. When, overwhelmed, I leave, it is thinking I should have stayed for longer. One to visit over and over again. Goosebumps."
3) Paul Nash review, Tate Britain ★★★★★
Caspar says:
"As well as being much cosier than its younger, sexier sister in edgy South East London, Tate Britain has a roster of the most excellent on display. I will not miss the Paul Nash exhibition for all the the Switch House performances: I think it’s important to know and appreciate what has been made in art by Britons/in Britain, and to have an understanding of why Moore, Bacon, Hockney and the Chapman Brothers are who they are and do what they do. On December 2, under the themes of heritage and family, the last Late at Tate Britain event is going to take place, with the gallery closing at 10pm"

Caspar says:
"Think Cali glamour. Multiply by infinity. The latest Ruscha show came out as the unparalleled winner of Frieze week earlier this October. Now in its last weeks, the show is even more stunning, given how much earlier the Sun sets In the dark, Gagosian’s new Grosvenor Hill location, now at its 5th exhibition, becomes a temple to art, with its enormous windows and intricate wood floors giving the space an aerie feel. Stop by and consider the passing of time, as you watch the rain fall."

Caspar says:
"In my mind I have been counting down to this for a while now. Manon Lescaut at the ROH is meant to a triumph. I am so looking forward to the shivers good Opera gives you, when you can barely sit down and are at the same time glued to the chair. If you can’t get tickets, just drop by in the morning and wait for returns… You might be lucky!"

Caspar says:
"When I hear people say that there’s nothing to do in London, I get angry. There is a Picasso show at the National Portrait Gallery, A Picasso Show. If I could, I would go every day just to stand quietly in awe. If you can - and you should - I strongly suggest you visit."
