The End of Longing, Playhouse Theatre

Chandler Bing wrote a play! Friends star Matthew Perry stars in the world premiere of his playwriting debut, The End of Longing

Matthew Perry play: The End of Longing, London 2016
Beloved all around the world for ten years of playing awkward, caustic Chandler Bing in smash hit sitcom Friends, Matthew Perry is acting royalty, with an Emmy, Golden Globe, SAG Award and army of fans to prove it.
Now the Hollywood actor has turned his comedic talents to writing. And, excitingly for Londoners, Perry's debut play, The End of Longing will get its world premiere at the West End's Playhouse Theatre in February 2016.
"I will also be starring in the play, so I'm very narcissistic", he quips. Sharp, funny and fast-paced, The End of Longing follows four forty-year-olds trying to give their lives some meaning. But as one lively night out leaves its mark, tension mounts and the dynamic of the relationships shifts. We're intrigued to see how Perry fares as a writer, but we're hoping for a voracious comedy with a smattering of double-edged, bitter barbs.
Though world famous for his success on TV and film, Perry has also impressed on London's West End in 2003 comedy Sexual Perversity in Chicago (Comedy Theatre), directed by Lindsay Posner. The End of Longing will reunite the pair.
With history of West End successes, including Lindsay Lohan's recent stint on stage, Posner is no stranger to high-profile, star-studded West End shows.
