Drawing room dalliances: discover a 'lost' Jane Austen novel in an evening of improvised comedy

Austentatious, Fortune Theatre
Put your sense and sensibilities aside for an evening of razor-sharp wit, prim period-accents and improvised impropriety. You’ve guessed it, London's favourite evening of Jane Austen-themed improvisation is back.

Austentatious invites you to experience a comedic mash-up of the author's celebrated novels. Each performance seeks to recreate a ‘lost’ novel based on a title suggested by audiences that usually involves a pop-culture pastiche of Austen's distinct style and famous plots. Past headings have included ‘Game of Scones’, ‘Strictly Come Darcy’ and ‘The Bodice Guard’.

A troupe of eight actors will channel the vivacity of Austen's characters and perform a hilarious melee of Georgian frivolities, drawing-room intrigues, snide remarks, and romantic denouements, all accompanied by live music. It's a social event not to be missed.
