ONBlackheath Festival 2019

ONBlackheath Festival returns with Jamiroquai, Grace Jones - and plenty of fun for the family

Family fun at ONBlackheath Festival
If you need some inspiration on what to do with the kids outdoors this summer, look no further: it's all about the family-friendly, London-based festival.

ONBlackheath Festival in July ticks every box for parents: good music (headliners are Jamiroquai and Grace Jones, with Rag'n'Bone Man, The Roots, James Morrison and Morcheeba all in the line-up), tasty food from StreetFeast and a Family Playground that's genuinely fun for kids.

Highlights include music from Andy and the Odd Socks, Mister Maker Live, Maynard's Mini Zoo with reptiles and insects, Boppin' Bunnies music and dance workshops, crafts sessions and circus arts from The Flying Seagull Project and hands-on science demos - including slime-making - courtesy of The Science Museum.

All of this, without a lengthy trip down the M25? Yes, please. And, in answer your question, attempting to dress like Grace Jones for the day is completely appropriate festival attire for parents.
