A New Romantics New Year's Eve at The Thin White Duke

Dress as a Peacock Punk or Romantic Rebel and party like it’s 1979 at hip new bar The Thin White Duke. Named after one of David Bowie's alter egos, the bar will of course be featuring plenty of Bowie hits on its 80s-heavy soundtrack. Beyond the music, expect burlesque performances, a decadent champagne tower, candy floss and limited-edition cocktails from exciting mixologist Dav Eames.

New Year’s Eve at Louche

Best for... late-night debauchery

Soho party Palace Louche hopes to deliver on its promise of disreputable, sordid, rakish fun for its Rock the Clock New Year’s Eve party. Burlesque dancers, vintage vinyl, tropical cocktails and plenty of feathers await. Tickets include an arrival drink.

New Year's Eve at Cahoots

Evolution club in Battersea Park is bringing guests a snapshot of New York glamour this NYE. You’ll be greeted with fizz and canapés on arrival, before sitting down for a four-course banquet, while watching live dancers, acrobats and a six-piece band. Once wined and dined, head onto the dance floor to boogie to DJ sets, and don’t forget to have a go on the dodgems. Glitziest outfits at the ready.

New Year's Eve at the Sea Containers

Best for… divine cocktails and spectacular views

Formerly Dandelyan – aka 2018's best bar in the world – Lyaness still serves world-class cocktails, just in revamped surroundings. Still headed up by Ryan Chetiyawardana (aka Mr Lyan, aka 'The World's Most Awarded Bartender'), the space has been redesigned with a fresh menu by hotel design whiz Jacu Strauss (talented ex-pupil of Tom Dixon). There couldn't be a more chic place to spend an evening sipping Mr Lyan's exciting concoctions, with your bed just a stumble up the stairs. With the hotel perched on the South Bank, you'll have a second-to-none view of the midnight fireworks display over the river, too. Be sure to ask for a room with a view, or else get there early to bag a spot on the restaurant terrace, which overlooks the river.

Prices vary.
