The best of the Christmas lights: London 2023 edition

London is officially lit. With the city's streets twinkling once more, we round up the loveliest Christmas light displays to catch this year.

Oxford Street

Oxford Street's 'A Sky Full of Stars' light curtains return for a fourth year running. Recycling its 5,000 LED bulbs isn't all the famous shopping street is doing to be more sustainable: this year, the lights will be switched on for reduced hours, cutting energy consumption by two thirds from last year. Don't worry though, if you're shopping after dark, you'll see the stars twinkle, dangling from trails of glittering stardust.
