Newcastle-based balletLORENT has almost 30 years' experience of creating magical, immersive shows for children, and is a regular performer at Sadler's Wells Family Weekends. Its latest show, The Lost Happy Endings, uses dance, theatre and voiced narration to tell the story of Jub, a fearless girl with six fingers on each hand who lives in a forest and is the custodian of all the happy endings of fairy tales such as Snow White, Pinocchio, Cinderella and Goldilocks. One day a wicked witch steals them and it's up to the resourceful Jub to get them back. In her quest she meets many beloved fairy-tale characters and woodland creatures.

An illustrious roster of creatives collaborated in The Lost Happy Endings: Liv Lorent choreographed, former poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy wrote the scenario, and prolific dramaturg Ben Crompton structured the staging. The show has an original score by Neil Murray and is narrated by national treasure Joanna Lumley.

Lilian Baylis Studio: Xenia Aidonopoulou and Georgia Tegou, Underwater

Underwater is a charming show for the very little ones, targeted at ages zero to two years.

A multi-sensory dance theatre piece, it takes babies and their grown-ups on a magical journey into the deep blue sea, vividly bringing to life the journey of a ballerina as she wakes from a dreamy sleep and finds herself in the ocean. As she explores her gorgeous new home, she meets an octopus and the pair quickly form a loving friendship beneath the waves, dancing a duet to a twinkling soundtrack that features some familiar melodies.

The creators, Xenia Aidonopoulou and Georgia Tegou, describe themselves as multi-disciplinary artists and mothers.
