Doctor Who Time Fracture: An Immersive Adventure is a joint project between BBC Studios and Immersive Everywhere, the team behind long-running immersive theatre show The Great Gatsby.
Firm details of what Doctor Who Time Fracture entails are yet to be announced, but the experience is taking over a central London location and lasts around 90 minutes. The production team have also recommended a minimum age of 11 years for those wishing to see the show, citing that they hope to fill it with the same ‘hide behind the sofa’ scare-factor the TV series has been known for since it first aired in the 60s.
The experience features a series of ‘amazingly realised worlds’, each with challenges for the audience to overcome. Whether these worlds will be populated with some of the TV series’ most frightening characters – Daleks, Weeping Angels and gas-masked children among them – is yet to be determined, as is what form, if any, the Doctor will take.
Those who can’t wait to secure their place on the mission can purchase advance tickets in the form of Gallifreyan Coin tokens. Each token can be redeemed for a single ticket, providing priority booking access once performance times are announced in February 2020.
