First things first. By Chloe. (yes, with the full stop) is the name of the restaurant, not the owner. The restaurant is 'plant-based', not vegetarian. They have eight branches in the US and this is their first across the pond with some dishes developed specially for Londoners.
All NYC-speak aside, ultra-hip vegan joint By Chloe. sounds very promising.
On the entirely vegan menu, there’s quinoa taco salad, a guac burger, matcha kelp noodles, and thrillingly, vegan mac n' cheese, which is a BIG DEAL if you can’t eat dairy. There will be dairy-free ice cream, plus freshly baked goods, sandwiches, salads and soups.
There's a special London By Chloe. menu alongside their signature dishes with plant-based takes on fish and chips, shepherd's pie and pea n' ham soup, plus sticky toffee pudding.
Expect this to be the most instagrammed burger, Mac n' cheese et al. in town for the foreseeable future. And get used to queuing, though there are 70 covers inside. A game changer, we predict.
Price: meal for two around £20.00
