Battersea Power Station Shopping Centre: brands, attractions and dates

Luxury brands, live events and impressive architecture will make the Battersea Power Station shopping centre a big attraction

A new shopping centre for Battersea: Power Station site becomes a mall
South West London is getting a shopping centre to rival Westfield.

The development of Battersea Power Station continues with a sleek new retail space due to open in 2021. The shopping centre brings new life to the heritage landmark, taking over two of the Turbine Halls.

The Art Deco architecture of Turbine Hall A, built in 1930, will give an elegant backdrop for a selection of premium and luxury brands. And the 1950s industrialist style Turbine Hall B will be home to a range of contemporary high street stores. A custom-designed glass lift will make Great Glass Elevator dreams a reality as it travels up and down the inside of one of the Power Station chimneys, with a 109-metre-high panoramic viewing platform at the top.

The retail hub will create over 17,000 new jobs and will coincide with the opening of the extended Northern Line and a new Zone 1 underground station making the area easily accessible from across London.

Battersea Power Station shopping centre will sit alongside the existing Circus West Village restaurants and bars, the Archlight Cinema, Boom Cycle and the Turbine Theatre to make Battersea an enticing destination for shopping, dining, arts and leisure.

What shops will be at Battersea Power Station?

The shopping centre is set to combine designer labels with curated high street brands and a strong selection of beauty boutiques. The confirmed retailers include Hugo Boss, Jo Malone London, Uniqlo, Mac Cosmetics, Space NK and Kiehl's. More shops will be announced in due course.

There will also be an emphasis on leisure and experience, with a second Battersea Power Station outpost of the Archlight Cinema and a branch of the BXR gym, set up by Heavyweight World Champion boxer Anthony Joshua.

Experiences and events at Battersea Power Station

In keeping with the growing trend for experiences and interactive opportunities, the Battersea Park shopping centre will incorporate event spaces that will host an eclectic programme of music events, fashion shows and pop-ups.
