A Christmas Carol, Lyceum Theatre

Warm the cockles of your heart with a musical A Christmas Carol starring Robert Lindsay

Robert Lindsay stars as Scrooge in A Christmas Carol
No Christmas is complete without A Christmas Carol. With its heartwarming message and much-loved characters, Dickens’ story of the ultimate Grinch has charmed readers and audiences around the world for generations.

Now, for the second year running, the London Musical Theatre Orchestra is bringing a semi-staged concert of A Christmas Carol to the Lyceum. After last year’s rave reviews and standing ovation, the orchestra will take centre stage for two nights this December whilst actors tell the festive tale through a range of songs.

With music written by Alan Menken, renowned composer for some of Disney’s best-known films, this musical adaptation of A Christmas Carol ran for a decade in New York’s Madison Square Gardens, garnering praise from the New York Times for being ‘a tonic for adults, and for children, a transfixing journey’.

Robert Lindsay, winner of a Tony and three Laurence Olivier Awards, will reprise his role as Ebenezer Scrooge, the miserly ne’er-do-well with a hidden heart. The rest of the cast will be announced soon.

With only two performances, on 11 and 18 October, this is not a Christmas experience to miss.

Book now to avoid disappointment.
