A festival of plays explores and debates the Trump presidency over the inauguration weekend

Donald Trump plays Theatre 503
It's coming... the day we've been dreading since November. From this January it's official: Donald Trump will be inaugurated as President of the United States of America.

If you're done with getting irate on Twitter or burying your head in the sand, spend inauguration weekend exploring the prospect and reality of a Trump presidency with a series of insightful plays by some of our leading writers.

Top Trumps at Theatre 503 features 12 short plays by the likes of Caryl Churchill, Neil LaBute and Roy Williams. Each reflects on the political, social and economic system that lead a country to choose the guy who boasts about grabbing women's gentials as their honoured leader. The series of plays that makes up each show is followed by live discussions from a panel of journalists, politicians, campaigners, economists and American theatre-makers.

The questions up for debate are: 'could Trump be a good thing?, 'what can I do now?' and 'is the media to blame?. Expect satire, debate and a refreshingly liberal creative take on this most controversial presidency.

Best of all, Theatre 503 is a fringe theatre atop a pub. So if the very real prospect of Trump makes you want to drink to forget, you can do that too.

See you at the bar.
