Families are invited to the V&A Museum of Childhood this February half-term to celebrate the final weeks of the Michael Morpurgo: A Life Time in Stories exhibition. Learn all about the fascinating process behind translating the storyteller's unique vision from the page to the stage.

Enjoy live performances by Ben Murray, former War Horse songman, and puppet shows brought to you by the Little Angel Theatre. The V&A Museum of Childhood has all manner of exciting workshops, shows, and activities lined up for families. Read on to find out more!

Creative writing workshop

Calling all budding book worms and aspiring authors! Ross Montgomery, the writer behind children's books like The Tornado Chasers and The Building Boy will be leading pint-sized poets through a thrilling creative writing workshop.

London Children's Book Swap

The annual London Children's Book Swap returns to the capital and to the V&A Museum of Childhood. Bring a book you loved but is in need of a new home, and swap it out for a brand-new tome of your very own – for free. Upgrading your bookshelf has never been so easy!

World of set design workshop

What's in a stage? Go behind the scenes to learn about the process behind set design and construction. Let by designer Juliet Shillingford (the visionary behind the production The Butterfly Lion), this workshop provides a hands-on experience or little ones interested in learning more about the mechanics of theatre.
