They say that rock and roll will never die. If you’ve ever seen Rolling Stones perform live, you might just believe it. When they headlined Glastonbury in 2013, they dominated the stage with the energy and irreverence of men half their age. Through Jagger’s frenzied gyrations, Keith Richards’ rousing guitar solos and a series of classic rock hits, the band electrified their audience, reminding them why they deserved to headline the world’s biggest festival.

In 2018, the Stones will bring this timeless act back to London. As part of their ‘No Filter’ tour, they will be playing throughout the UK and Ireland, with shows at Stratford’s London Stadium on 22 and 25 May and at Twickenham on 19 June. The tour, which began in Autumn 2017, will mark the 55th year that the Stones have been performing together, making them one of the longest touring bands in UK history.

Tickets for the shows went on sale here at 9am on Friday 2 March.

The performances come off the back of a number of recent releases, including a 2017 reissue of Their Satanic Majesties Request along with the swaggeringly spirited Blue & Lonesome, an album which saw the band return to their blues roots in style.

Following the tour announcement, Keith Richards said, 'It's such a joy to play with this band. There's no stopping us - we're just getting started really'. Given their plans for 2018, it's clear that the Stones won't be slowing down for some time yet.
