Matt Lucas talks to the how to: Academy on his memoir Little Me
‘I didn’t want to be known just for having no hair’

We all think we know Matt Lucas. The bright-eyed comedian will forever be remembered in the hearts of the British people as the mastermind behind Vicky Pollard, The Only Gay in the Village, and, more recently, as the incarnation of Nardole, Doctor Who’s first alien companion.

There is, however, a lot more to Lucas than outrageous slapstick comedy. In his new autobiography, Little Me – My Life From A-Z, the comedian works through the alphabet unfolding the pain and hilarity that has filled his life so far. Opening up on alopecia, asthma, and being gay, Little Me is ‘brutally honest and brilliantly funny, this book is as brave and warm as the man who wrote it’ [Graham Norton].

On Tuesday 3 October, Matt Lucas will be talking to journalist Alex Clark about his life and career. This is a rare opportunity to hear more about the much-loved British comedian. We have 15 pairs of free tickets for members of Culture Whisper to grab before this fabulous event sells out. Tickets include a free copy of the book.
