You can enjoy the comedy highlights of Edinburgh Fringe Festival right here in London. Happily for those of us unable to head to Scotland every August, it's a tradition for comedians to preview their new shows at Battersea Arts Centre ahead of the festival. It's an opportunity to discover new talents and enjoy a whole lot of a laughs.

As ever, the line up is a mixture of established comics such as Felicity Ward and James Acaster, and emerging talents, with a wide variety of styles to suit every different sense of humour. Find the line-up here and Culture Whisper's highlights below.

Denim: Work in Progress
8:30pm, 11 July
Drag Queen comedy troupe Denim bring their irresistible brand of sass and sequins back to London after a smash-hit world tour. Forget nights in wathing Rupaul on Netflix and let Glamrou La Denim, Aphrodite Greene, Crystal Vaginova, Elektra Cute & Shirley DuNaughty entertain you.


Adam Riches: Work in Progress
8:30pm, 16 July
Award-winning comic Adam Riches treats us a triple serving of laughs, with a medley of the best material from all three of the shows he will be peforming at Edinburgh Fringe this year. Get ready for a combination of sports movie mash-up, Mediaval romp and character monologue. Whatever happens, with that ecclectic mixuture, you won't be bored.


Graham Dickson: Work in Progress
8:30pm, 24 July
Comedian Graham Dickson (Austentatious) and director Hamish MacDougal invite you to join them in a surreal, silly future where Hollywood is no more. After the cameras and money and glamour what's left. The women have all left, and in their place is a lonely world of men and movie relics.


Ayesha Hazarika: Work in Progress
8:30pm, 26 July
Ayesha Hazarika, MBE may have started out as a stand-up comedian. But her career took a suprising detour when she ditched the regional comedy clubs to work alongside Gordon Brown and Ed Miliband as a Labour Party Special Advisor. The two diverging experiences came together in her successful debut show Sate of The Nation, which made Hazarika a sought-after commentator for papers and TV shows. Come and she what she has up her sleeve next.
