The Disappearing Dining Club Town House

The Disappearing Dining Club London invites you to its TownHouse for a cool late night in London with a new season of supper clubs at their pop up restaurant London: February 2015.

The Disappearing Dining Club Town House
Any list of cool restaurants in London has to include the fancy pop up London restaurant at the Disappearing Dining Club Town House. Having shaken up the London dining scene with its regular dinner parties in curious locations, ranging from lighthouses to launderettes, The Disappearing Dining Club hosts its next monthly supper club on February 28th.
The events will be taking place at Town House, an 18th Century weaver’s house on Fournier Street, near Spitafield Market London and famous as the street inhabited by artist duo Gilbert and George, it's one of the most ostensibly posh places to eat in London. The Town House building was recently restored and is now an antique, tea and coffee shop that plays host to a number of art exhibitions.
Diners are treated to a scrumptious four-course set menu, featuring seasonal, unpretentious dishes elegantly crafted by Head Chef Frekerik Bolin. At £60 a head, it's not a snip, but the evening includes dinner, a welcome drink and half a bottle of wine (with £1 going to Teenage Cancer Trust) and it's well worth the price. The Disappearing Dining Club invites guests to feast on such offerings as curried crab salad, with homemade pickles and toasted sourdough, roast British lamb leg with braised shoulder boulangere, wild garlic and snail jus and elderflower Eton mess, to name but a few of the dishes on offer.
Diners sit at a communal table and are invited to eat, drink and chat with like-minded Londoners whilst surrounded by locally sourced artefacts and objects including Georgian furniture, glassware, artworks, clocks and jewellery. The venue can cater for around 20 diners, so the vibe can be slightly more lively (some might say chaotic) than at smaller pop-ups. The Town house isn’t hosted in the same way as some of the more intimate supper clubs, and this puts emphasis on guests to mingle of their own accord.
Worth a stop-in with friends, or to mingle with the Disappearing Dining Club's friendly clientele.
The dinner parties take place on the last Saturday of each month from 7.30pm till 10.30pm. Tickets are priced at £60 and includes a welcome cocktail, four courses and half a bottle of wine per person.
