The Bowler's Street Food Residency, The Horse and Groom

Liverpool street London Food Residency by new vendor The Bowler Street at Shoreditch's famous Horse and Groom.

The Bowler's Street Food Residency, The Horse and Groom
Until next spring, stalwart of the street food scene, The Bowler, or Jez Felwick as he is more usually known, and his gourmet meatballs will be taking up a more permanent home at The Horse and Groom in Shoreditch. The menu created for the residency includes favourites from his foodtruck, as well as an array of dishes from his popular book, The Bowler’s Meatball Cookbook.
Having cut his teeth at the prestigious Ballymaloe cookery school, set in its own organic farm not far from Cork, Felwick travelled to the United States where the street food scene was just gaining momentum. Felwick came back to Britain and launched The Bowler, one of Britain’s earliest proponents of the street food trend. True to these roots, Felwick is upholding the camaraderie of the scene that made his name, and will be inviting fellow traders like Anna Mae’s Mac ‘n’ Cheese and Luardo’s Mexican to join him for Street Food Kitchen Takeovers. We suggest you also keep an eye out for the Street Food Pantry, which will be selling sought-after condiments from the street food circuit such as The Ribman & Prairie “Fire BBQ’ sauce.
The Horse & Groom is also worth a visit in its own right, having undergone a recent renovation, which has stripped back to its original wooden feature, while the outside space was ideal for a fleet of food trucks.
