This autumn, put extra punch into your Saturday night by heading down to night market extravaganza Urban Food Festival. Every Saturday evening until December 20th, fifteen weekly-changing street food stalls (varying from tuk-tuks to pick-up trucks) descend upon the Euro Car Park on Shoreditch Highstreet, alongside urban street bands, DJs, street performers, modern artists and caricaturists. The range of gourmet food spans the far corners of the globe, ranging from Korean Ramen Burgers to Louisiana Frogs Legs to South African Bunnychow. Each week, one stall will be dedicated to all things vegetarian, vegan, and raw, as part of ‘The V Corner’, offering the likes of Vegan Indian Aloo Tikki Chaat wraps, Squash & Sunflower Seed Salad, and Vegan Sweet Potato Maki Sushi. The sweetest of teeth will also be satisfied by numerous offerings of home-made ice cream, macaroons, cakes and cronuts (a blend of croissant and donut). This can be washed down by craft beers, cocktails or even prosecco and champagne.

  • NEIGHBOURHOOD BAR

Voted number six on ‘The World’s 50 Best Bars’ list, Happiness Forgets makes for a warm and relaxed basement drinking hole with outstanding cocktails. Although the space is small, a ‘no standing’ policy operates (once all the tables and bar stools are taken, then the bar is considered to be full) so cramped conditions are avoided.
