Supper at the Snail: Supper Club at L'Escargot

A new series of relaxed supper clubs at Brian Clivaz's Soho townhouse, L'Escargot, starts with a collaboration with wine merchants Warwick Banks & Jenkins

L'Escargot Restaurant, Soho.
Having stood in Greek Street for over 100 years and been operated by, among others, Marco Pierre White and food critic Nick Lander, L'Escargot (who also do an excellent brunch) is quite a force for French cuisine in London. Starting this month, they will be hosting a monthly supper club where patrons can engage in a relaxing combination of French food and fine wine.

Chef Oliver Lesnik, who moved to the restaurant after a stint at The Connaught, will be serving up five courses. Confit pork belly and scallop tartare among them, they will be matched with a selection of wines (French, of course) from London wine merchant Warwick Banks & Jenkins.

In future, L'escargot supper club plans include a collaboration with Laurent Perrier for November, in which each of three courses will be paired with a different champagne – bubble lovers take note.
