Nomad: Pop Up Cinema in London

Nomad pop up cinema London announces a new series of cult classic screenings at the Hoxton Hotel from January to February.

Reality Bites film still
London's favourite pop up cinema is back, screening a selection of cult favourites and not-so-classic romances, every last Sunday of the month from January until April.
Wondering where to watch classic movies in London? There's no better way to spend a winter evening than enjoying your favourite films on the big screen. Enter one of the most original and best pop up cinemas in London: organising screenings of classic films and cult movies, London based company The Nomad curates an abundance of interesting venues to watch films, and invites you to explore the capital's hidden gems.
The new year sees the return of the stylish Nomad cinema to the Hoxton Hotel (don’t worry, it’s indoors): they'll be kicking off with a screening of the ever-quotable Mean Girls on 31 January: candy cane season may be over but you can still join in to cries of "Four For You, Glenn Coco!" or, better, memorise the "Jingle Bell Rock" dance routine and stand out from the crowd.
Then in February, it's our favourite Generation X rom-com, Reality Bites. Starring Winona Ryder, Ethan Hawke and Ben Stiller, the film takes for its subject the disaffected youth of the 1990s, replete with retro slang and rad outfits. Definitely worth a watch if you're a twenty-something suffering a bit of a career – or relationship – slump.
The end of March boasts the cutesie, coming-of-age cult classic Stand By Me, starring a young River Phoenix, Corey Feldman and Kiefer Sutherland. And finally in April they'll be showing Leon: a subversive classic and one of the first roles for an impossibly young Natalie Portman as Matilda (a performance that also served as the inspiration for this song).
The best part of the experience is that every penny of the profits is donated to The Sustainability Institute, an environmental and educational charity based in South Africa. Get ready for one of the most exciting cinema experiences London has to offer. All screening tickets include include popcorn and a cocktail, so your evening is well and truly catered for. What's not to love?
