Immigration, inequality, and climate change – these are some of the world's greatest concerns, but rarely do we hear bold answers to these questions as they circulate the news on a daily basis. Esther Duflo is here to change this. The French-American economist has dedicated twenty years of her career to studying poverty and understanding growth. She has written award-winning books on the subject, including her influential book Poor Economics, and this October, she was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics, only the second woman to win the accolade.

As the recipient of the MacArthur 'Genius Grant' Fellowship and a professor at MIT, Duflo has become regarded as one of the world's leading thinkers on social reform in regards to improving the economic lives of the poor. Don't miss the chance to hear her speak in the flesh in an inspiring talk where she will draw on her research to explain the sources of our present dilemmas and propose new solutions for a better future.
