Luxury Easter eggs to order online
Stock up on choc and have these luxurious Easter eggs delivered as a treat to yourself and to the family you can't see in person this Easter weekend.
From teal 'hard-boiled eggs' filled with rich dark praline to a hazelnut-covered chocolate 'Scotch egg' and hand-painted chicken Easter egg, Fortnum's Easter selection is guaranteed to make you smile. And it tastes as good as it looks. With all the chocolate you could need, plus decadent feasting hampers, it's one way to make sure Easter still feels special, even if spent indoors.
Prior to the pandemic, master chocolatier Paul A Young sold his delectable hand-made creations out of his stores, in Soho and Islington, only. But with the first lockdown thwarting last year's Easter trade, Young launched an online shop to get his artisan eggs out to customers stuck at home (a good thing too, given we're in the same boat a year on). There are strikingly stylish cosmic eggs and multi-coloured chocolatey bunnies among this year's offering, all made using the finest cocoa.
Along with being fully free of plastic packaging, the Easter range from Luxury Notting Hill chocolatier Melt is hand-made using the finest chocolate. The Sea Salt Dark and creamier Wild Egg are perfect for vegans. The playfully decorated Strawberry Egg and Acorn Egg are as photogenic as they are delicious. And children will love getting creative with the paint your own chocolate bunny sets.
London's Rococo chocolatier has implemented free express delivery to ensure everyone can enjoy the finest chocolate during an Easter lockdown. The classic eggs are unbeatable, with salted milk, Moroccan mint dark chocolate and a variety of flavours, with truffles inside, all presented in a blue and white gift box. And the 'quail eggs' are a delicious combination of French praline and crisp sugar shell.
Liberty's offers a great selection from London's most esteemed chocolatiers. Choose from the exquisitely painted Bouja Bouja fine de champagne truffles Easter egg or perhaps Love Cocoa's salted caramel milk chocolate quail eggs. And for the adults? It's got to be Charbonnel et Walker's white chocolate egg with pink Marc de Champagne truffels.
A long Easter weekend at home calls for plenty of indulgent treats to graze on. We love the decadent selection boxes from luxury confectionary maker Rita Farhi. The Belgian chocolate fruit selection is almost too good to share and the exquisite papier mache bonbonnière gives wow-factor to assorted chocolate coated almonds.
Neuhaus's Easter foiled chocolate eggs look gorgeous on display and are perfect for those whose chocolate cravings can be sated with just a bite at a time, while the honeycomb milk chocolate Easter egg belongs to the departmant store's Project Earth range, reflecting Selfridges' commitment to sustainably farmed and sourced cocoa.
