Third Space opens Little Space to the the delight of active kids and their parents everywhere

By Jen Barton Packer on 11/3/2020

Third Space Islington launches its first kids' gym concept, Little Space, with a family pool, ball court and soft play for little ones. We can't get there soon enough...

Calling all London parents: 2020 is all about finding gorgeous family spaces you'll want to spend every minute in, whether it's a coworking space with on-site childcare or a family-centric club. The latest addition? Little Space, an innovative new concept from luxury health club Third Space.

London's Islington neighbourhood is becoming quite the hub for hip families: not only is the latest Maggie & Rose family club located in Islington, but Little Space, part of the 47,000 square foot Third Space Islington location, has just opened its doors there too.

Third Space Islington is pretty phenomenal, with state-of-the-art facilities like a hot yoga studio with infrared mirrored lighting and a 7,000 square foot arena with athletic rig and custom-built track, as well as a 20-metre, six lane swimming pool.

It's also got something very exciting for kids: Little Space.

Little Space is London's first dedicated multi-area space for children - and it has everything your excitable little monkey could dream of, including childcare. Parents keen to sneak in a workout can drop little ones in the on-site OFSTED-registered creche, Tiny Space, for kids from three months up to the age of five.

There's a sports hall where you can shoot hoops or kick a football, a family pool, a climbing wall and a dance studio, as well as soft play options for little ones.

Kids will be able to run, jump and climb to their heart's content when they arrive, and there are also a range of classes they can sign up for.

From yoga to gymnastics, fun circuit classes with ropes and slam balls, ball sports classes, Little Rig, which uses monkey bars, TRX, rings and more, and Squad, which encourages friendly competition and teamwork, there will be something that appeals to children and parents alike. There's even a homework club for kids to get their work done after school.

Kids from the age of 3 can sign up to Multisports and Tiny Yoga classes, while 5-7s and 8-11s have a range of after-school and weekend options like ballet and martial arts. There's even a movie night on Fridays.

The Third Space ethos extends beyond just the activity spaces to include a kid-friendly snack bar, where kids can replenish with nutritious shakes and smoothies. The hotel-style changing rooms with plush towels and natural skin and haircare products are a further reminder that this is quite a different experience from the local leisure centre swimming pool, that both kids and parents will be reluctant to leave...

Adult membership is £175 per month; kids' membership is £50 a month.
