The Velveteen Rabbit follows a neglected toy who is gradually brought to life the more he is played with and loved. The classic picture book about the timid rabbit will itself be brought to life on stage at the Unicorn Theatre this Christmas season.

Hugely popular in America, Margery Williams' 1922 children's story is not quite as well-known in the UK. This imaginative stage version is an engaging way to introduce it to young children, as the heart-warming tale is brought up to date with a sleek modern production, spot on comedy, and piano accompaniment. The result is a show as warm and fuzzy as a toy bunny, but with plenty of intelligence and imagination too.

Additionally, the Unicorn Theatre will be hosting a special Tea with Rabbit for young theatregoers on select dates. Settle down centre stage for a special on-set Christmas picnic followed by rabbit-themed crafts and a special visit from a surprise guest. Seats are limited, so book now!

Recommended for ages 4+ but the show is just as enjoyable for older children
