What’s unique about this residency is the opportunity for
each guest to individualise their own night, by purchasing exclusive keys that
unlock 3 immersive experiences. Each key
unlocks a new surreal world, which takes the key holder on a journey of
discovery that certainly challenges all senses.
The experience, curated by Gingerline’s creative director
Suz Mountfort and immersive storyteller Reuben Feels, starts in the heart of
the home. Visitors enter the bustling kitchen, overseeing the endless dining
table. From there, we were invited to the airy laundry room inspired by Italian
couture to try a Peroni Nastro Azzuro-infused cocktail. The cocktail creations,
invented by award-winning mixologist Simone Caporale have a clear autumnal
touch, which are best enjoyed in the autumnal covered terrace area. The beautiful paper leaf installation is an
artwork on its own and certainly sets the atmosphere of the terrace area.
The ever-changing household holds many secrets, with Il salottino- the snug being the most exciting one. Visitors are invited to relax
and unwind in the snug room, while reflecting on their previous experience at
The Residency before creating their very own drink infusion.
While the discovery of the modern Italian home seems to be
at the centre of The House of Peroni residency, there is also a six course
private dining experience in the heights of the mezzanine, looking down on the
hustle and bustle of Italian social life. Expect the best of Italian cuisine,
created by Michelin-starred chef Accursio Craparo.
What was confusing about the whole experience was the lack
of guidance or information about the course of the evening, which may be just
teething problems. So, if you are keen to discover and explore an immersive
Italian adventure, we highly recommend The House of Peroni in the heart of
Brick Lane.
