We had Moulin Rouge!, then there was Casino Royale, and we've just seen Stranger Things. For the next Secret Cinema experience - delayed because of Covid - the experts in immersive cinema will be taking audiences back to the summer of 1963 with their next film of choice, Dirty Dancing.

The film saw Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey rise to superstardom as Baby Houseman and Johnny Castle, who meet and fall in love at the Kellerman summer resort in the Catskills. He was a dance instructor, she was the greatest dancer he'd ever seen.

In a secret London location, the world of Johnny and Baby will come to life over a hot summer's eve in 2020. Live music, dance classes and more secret entertainment promises to fill the evening, as fans of the film can flock to revisit the story – and others can discover the romance for the first time.

Lucy Ridley, Creative Director for Secret Cinema presents Dirty Dancing, emphasized how well-suited the new title is for the adventure. "Our outdoor experiences are a celebration of the summer, and this iconic movie epitomises and honors that perfectly." Secret Cinema previously had a run with the film in 2016, but the wisdom of so many years will undoubtedly make this one a hit.

Tickets for Secret Cinema present Dirty Dancing are available now. The new run is from 14 July to 21 August 2021. Dust off your dancing shoes – we'll be sure to see you there.
